They were able to pivot to Zoom classes with no issues and my son has benefited from continuing education during the pandemic. “I would recommend The Learning Common to anyone who has a child who is struggling to learn how to read. Our son tried so hard with us, with other tutors, and teachers at school, but still after grade one he couldn’t read at grade level. We tried other methods/tutors/techniques before finding Robin here. The strategies she used effectively taught him how to read, and changed our child’s self confidence and his entire outlook on school. He started in grade two and went for three years. Now we have to yell at him to “turn your light out and stop reading-it’s 11pm-go to bed!” The change is truly remarkable. He is now in grade six and doing really well in all subjects, especially language arts. I can’t say enough good things about Robin. She makes it fun for the kids but is definitely no pushover-she’s patient and extremely well organized-the homework she sends home is totally manageable and targeted towards that particular student.
