What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I am deeply passionate about empowering learners to discover their own capabilities. I find it so fulfilling to design inclusive and engaging learning experiences that allow every student, particularly those who may face initial challenges to build confidence, deepen their understanding, and take genuine pride in their achievements.
What brings me the greatest joy is witnessing that transformative moment when a child who has been struggling suddenly grasps a concept, lights up with pride, and realizes with quiet certainty: “I can do this.”
How would you describe your teaching style or classroom approach?
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that students thrive when warmth, structure, creativity, and high expectations work in harmony. I strive to create a classroom where every child feels genuinely valued and supported, while clear boundaries, consistent routines, and accountability provide the foundation for both personal and academic growth. My global educational experiences have deeply influenced the way I teach and the passions I bring into the classroom. From art and STEAM to cultural celebrations and global perspectives, I design learning experiences that are hands-on, imaginative, and purposeful. Through projects, self-advocacy work, visuals, movement, problem-solving, and authentic real-world connections, I aim to make learning engaging, meaningful, and memorable. Above all, I seek to cultivate a learning environment where students know they are deeply cared for, inspired to take risks, and encouraged to meet meaningful standards with confidence and pride.
What do you hope students gain from your class?
I want every learner to feel seen, supported, and capable. I believe that high expectations and genuine care can exist together. My hope is that students leave my classroom not only with new knowledge, but also as braver, kinder, more independent individuals who feel proud of what they can achieve.
Hobbies or interests
I’m deeply inspired by making things with my hands and discovering beauty in both materials and places. I love working with fabric through weaving and stitching, exploring colour and texture through painting and ink, and expressing ideas through art in many forms. Travel has been one of my greatest teachers - I’ve loved living in different parts of the world, learning new languages, and experiencing new cultures. I’m equally drawn to transformation at home, where I enjoy building, restoring, and reimagining furniture into something unique and meaningful.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?
What I enjoy most about working with students is building genuine connections and creating a space where they feel comfortable being themselves. I love getting to know how each student learns and what drives their engagement. I’m especially passionate about working with neurodivergent learners, as it allows me to adapt my approach to support their unique strengths and help them build confidence in who they are.
How would you describe your teaching style or classroom approach?
My teaching approach is student-centered and relationship-driven. I combine structured, explicit instruction with a flexible approach that responds to each student’s needs, strengths, and level of engagement. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, building skills, and growing in confidence.
What do you hope students gain from your class?
I hope students leave with stronger foundational skills, increased engagement in their learning, and the confidence to take on new challenges. Most importantly, I want them to feel successful and capable.
